GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Lake Anna State Park features a swimming beach on one of Virginia’s most popular lakes, fishing pond accessible to children and people with disabilities, bathhouse-concessions complex, boat launch facilities, pontoon boat rides, picnicking and hiking.

PARKING:  20 wheelchair accessible parking spaces.

TYPES OF PATHS:  Concrete to restrooms, visitor center, beach and snack bar.  Asphalt to fishing pond including access to fishing platforms.

ENTRANCE TO VISITOR CENTER:   Handrails on rt.  Entry doors open in with knob. 

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:  Next to visitor center.  Screen door opens out and regular door opens in.  Turns to enter.  Accessible stall doors open in and handrails.  19 in. toilet seat height.  Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.

SPECIAL SERVICES:
For guests with visual disabilities, there are tactile exhibits such as      touch table with animal pelts and nature items, and signs with contrasting background printed on a non-glossy surface. 

For guests with mobility disabilities, there are lowered drinking fountains, fishing pond Rail/sidewalk to the beach is accessible along with two ADA rated playground units w/asphalt paths have been constructed.

PICNIC AREAS: Picnic shelter 3 is a 25' x 35' wooden frame structure with a cement floor. There are four large picnic tables equivalent to eight regular size tables and two pedestal grills (charcoal). Two tables are wheelchair accessible, and there is a cement walkway leading to the shelter. The shelter can seat 50 people at one time. The shelter is within Picnic Area B with restrooms and a small playground approximately 50 yards away. No electric outlets or water hydrants. The shelter is not within walking distance of the swimming beach. The shelter has a good view of the lake.

CABINS: Cabin 10 is universally accessible. It has a queen-size bed in one bedroom, two singles in the other, plus the fold-out sofa bed.

Camp Cabin 5 is universally accessible with four walls, a roof, two sets of bunk-beds with mattresses, a table, four chairs, porch with two rocking chairs, no bathroom, screened windows, four electrical outlets, one lighted ceiling fan, an outside picnic table, a fire ring and a lantern post. Use campground bathhouses for bathroom and showers. Call 1-800-933-7275 for reservations.

Beach and snack bar offers hot dogs, chicken tenders, French fries, ice cream, soft drinks, etc. It's open Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Gold Mine Gift Shop, located in the visitor center, open 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., open Wednesday through Sunday from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There's a small gift shop in the park office.

Although motorized vehicles are not permitted on park trails, electric wheelchairs and electric scooters that meet the federal definition for wheelchairs are allowed to enable people with disabilities to use the trails.
