DIRECTIONS: On Rte 257, just west of I-81, exit 240.  In lower level of Cole Hall.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Visit a fascinating museum with an eclectic collection of more than 10,000 artifacts, including those from Native-Americans, the American Civil War, and pioneer life in the Shenandoah Valley. Coinage, currency, bottles, and weaponry are just a few of the unique artifacts displayed. See rare books and bibles of the Church of the Brethren history in the Valley, as well as missionary memorabilia from India, China, Nepal, and the Middle East.

PARKING:  2 designated accessible parking spaces, located in visitor parking lot.  Parking space 11 ft. wide.  Accessible aisle 6 ft. wide.  Nearby ramps well marked.

TYPES OF PATHS TO OR AROUND ATTRACTION:  Concrete.  Paths  accessible to persons with mobility disabilities.  Length of paths 110 ft.

ENTRANCE:  Located back of building - well marked signs.  3 glass entry doors, 36 in. wide, open out with clearly marked pull strap handle located 36 in. above floor.  Steps inside lobby.  Handrails.

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:  Located on mezzanine level.  Doors 39 in. wide, open out.  Turns to enter.  Stalls with 33 in. wide doors opening out, and handrails.  17 in. toilet seat height.  Sink height 33 in. 

ELEVATOR:  Located near stairs, serves all levels.  Door width 42 in.  Control buttons 38 in. high.  Buttons raised.  Door stays open 8 seconds. 

SPECIAL SERVICES:
For guests with hearing disabilities, signing interpreters are available with advance notice. 

FOOD AND BEVERAGE FACILITIES:  Located on museum floor.  30 tables for guests in wheelchairs.  Table height 36 in. 

GIFT SHOP:  Aisles 40 in. wide.  Counters 32 in. high.  Aisles clear of temporary displays.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Free admission.  Hrs:  1-5 Mon-Fri.
