DIRECTIONS: I-64 take exit 118B (29N).  At Barracks Road, make a right.  Stay on Barracks road and make a right on Rugby road.  Museum is on  right.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  The museum displays art from around the world.  The two permanent collection galleries display American and European paintings, prints, Asian art, photographs and sculptures.  There are temporary exhibitions throughout the year.

PARKING:  1 designated accessible parking space.

TYPES OF PATHS TO OR AROUND ATTRACTION:  Cobblestone and paved parking lot.  Accessible to persons with mobility disabilities. 

ENTRANCE:  Located ground level at rear of building.  Automatic door  opens out.  Steps inside lobby, located on right of entrance.

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:  Located on left of front entrance and on second floor (3 steps).  Doors 35 in. wide, open out.  No turns to enter.  Accessible stalls w/ handrails.  19 in. toilet seat height, 20 in. between commode and wall.  Sink height 29 in.  Wrapped pipes.  Unisex or companion assisted rest rooms available.

ELEVATOR:  Located in the lobby, past front desk.  Serves all levels.  Door width 52 in.  Control buttons 34 in. high.  Buttons in braille and raised.  Door stays open 10 seconds.  Audible floor change signal.

SPECIAL SERVICES:
For guests with hearing disabilities, tours in American Sign Language can be arranged if two weeks notice is given.

For guests with visual disabilities, hands-on exhibits are sometimes available.  Call ahead. 

For guest with mobility disabilities, pictures have been lowered for easy viewing by persons in wheelchairs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Museum may be rented for receptions and other special occasions, by prior arrangements.  Group tours by appointment.  Contact museum for details.  Accessible water fountain available.  Admission free.  Hours: 1-5 Tu-Sun.  Donations accepted.
