Christiansburg is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains close to Virginia’s largest nationally ranked university, Virginia Tech. The town is located on the original Wilderness Road where thousands of families moved westward to colonize the frontiers of Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee. History abounds in this area as well. There is a legend that Daniel Boone was a resident at one time. William Clark from the renowned explorers Lewis and Clark also lived in Christiansburg and his house still stands today in this quaint town.
