PUBLIC REST ROOMS: At lobby and conference centers. Doors are 36 in. wide, and open in. Turns to enter. Accessible stalls have 36 in. wide doors opening out and handrails. Sink height is 36 in. Pipes wrapped. Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions. Unisex and/or companion assisted rest room available at the public rest room.
ELEVATOR: Wheelchair accessible elevator with sound indicator located off lobby and at rear of building. Serves all levels. Interior of car is 60 in. by 78 in.
ACCOMMODATIONS: 12 wheelchair accessible rooms, each with 2 double beds, cots available. Unneeded furniture removed on request. 60 in. circular clear space in room and bathroom. Bathroom door is 36 in. wide. Wheelchair accessible toilet is 19 inches high with room for a lateral transfer. Roll-in shower. Grab bar in tub. Hand held shower heads. Sink is 36 in. high. Sink pipes wrapped. Large digit display alarm clocks. Amplified phones. Flashing light smoke alarms, TTY, phone flasher, door knock light, closed captioned TV. Lever handles on doors. Extended drapery rod pulls. Lowered thermostats, light switches and peep holes.
RESTAURANT: Many wheelchair accessible tables. There is increased wattage lighting in dining areas.
SAFETY PROCEDURES: Guests in wheelchairs routinely assigned to first floor rooms. Front desk personnel made aware of guests with disabilities and their type, in case of emergency.
