GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Lee Hall was constructed in 1850. Confederate Generals Magruder and Johnston planned and executed the defense of the Warwick River Line during the initial stages of the 1862 Peninsula Campaign.

The Mariners' Museum
As one of the largest and most comprehensive maritime history museums in the world, The Mariners’ illustrates the spirit of seafaring adventure through a diverse collection of maritime artifacts, including figureheads, ship models, and small craft from around the world. The remains of the Civil War ironclad USS Monitor have a permanent home here in a new facility.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Restored home of the Newsome family containing furnishings and displays related to black history. Cultural center for bridge parties, weddings, and meetings.

For the nature lover visit The Virginia Living Museum in Newport News. This museum is home to more than 200 different species of wildlife native to Virginia.
