ENTRANCE: Ramps provided. 2 entry doors, 74 in. wide, easily opened with bar handle located 36 in. above floor.
FACILITIES: Lowered drinking fountains. Luggage handling can be arranged. Signs with raised lettering. Non-smoking rooms available. There is increased wattage lighting in dining areas.
PUBLIC REST ROOMS: On 1st floor. Accessible rest room with handrails. 19 in. toilet seat height. Wrapped pipes. Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions. Unisex or companion assisted rest rooms available.
ELEVATOR: Serves all levels. Door width 42 in. Control buttons 40 in. high. Elevator car is 78 in. by 48 in. Buttons in braille and raised. Door stays open 20 seconds. Audible floor change signal.
ACCOMMODATIONS: 5 wheelchair accessible rooms, located 1st floor. Queen-size bed on a frame with no obstruction beneath in accessible rooms. Sleep sofa. Unnecessary furniture removed upon request. 60 inch circular clearspace in room and in bath. Bathroom door is 32 in. wide. Grab bar in tub. Roll-in showers. Hand held shower heads. Sink 30 in. high. Wrapped pipes. Handrail with the toilet. 19 in. toilet seat height. Wheelchair can be parked beside the toilet for a lateral transfer (32 in. min.) Room numbers with braille and raised markings. SAFETY PROCEDURES: Wheelchair guests routinely assigned to first floor rooms. Front desk personnel made aware of guests with disabilities, and their type, in case of emergency. Additional emergency measures : Guests with wheelchair/ mobility disabilities, first we will check to see if these rooms are occupied - then employees will go to these rooms and assist in evacuation. Guests with visual disabilities - employee will knock first then enter and offer an arm to guest. Guests with hearing disabilities - enter room and offer a note to guest.
