DIRECTIONS: Downtown Staunton - take I-81, exit 222 - follow US 250 w to downtown.  Go west on Johnson St. to Church St.  Go right on Church St. - parking spaces are on right side.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Trinity Church is the oldest church in Staunton, founded in 1746. The current building was constructed in 1855 and restored in 2000.  Famous for stained glass windows, some by Tiffany, the church was the site of Virginia General Assembly in 1781.

PARKING:  4 designated accessible parking spaces.  Located Church St. between Beverly and Johnson.  Nearby ramps well marked.

TYPES OF PATHS TO OR AROUND ATTRACTION:  Brick - some with uneven texture.  Paths  accessible to persons with mobility disabilities.  Length of paths 100 ft.

ENTRANCE:   Northwest corner of main church.  3 exterior steps, each 7 in. high.  Handrails on left/right.  Ramps provided.  Entry doors, 39 in. wide, easily opened with push bar handle.

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:  Wheelchair accessible rest room.

SPECIAL SERVICES:
For guests with hearing disabilities, signing interpreters are available with advance notice.  Amplified audio units, written scripts and tour brochure also available. 

For guests with visual disabilities, sermons and prayer books are available in large print. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Open 1-4pm Mon–Fri mid September through May. June–mid September the church is open Mon– Thur 1-4pm and on Fridays by appointment only. You may also call the office to double check the hours 540-886-9132.

If the front door is locked during visiting hours, please come to the Parish offices behind and to the left of the church and we will let you in.
