DIRECTIONS: From I-81, exit 188B, merge onto 60 W, travel 2.5 miles on 60 W, hotel @ top of hill on left. From I-64, exit 55S, .8 miles on Rte 11 Bypass, turn right on 60 W, hotel .4 miles on left @ top of hill.
PARKING: 5 wheelchair accessible parking spaces at front, side and rear entrances. Ramps well marked.
ENTRANCE: At front. 6 exterior steps, each 9 in. high. Handrails on left/right. Ramps provided. 2 glass entry doors, 30 in. wide, easily open out with clearly marked lever and push handle located 37 in. above floor.
FACILITIES: Pool. Signage in contrasting colors with raised lettering. Luggage handling available. Lowered drinking fountains. Non-smoking rooms. Increased wattage lighting in dining and meeting areas.
PUBLIC REST ROOMS: At elevator and conference room. Doors 34 in. wide, open out. No turns to enter. Accessible stalls have 32 in. wide doors opening out, handrails. 19 in. toilet seat height, 11 in. between commode and wall. Sink height 34 in. Wrapped pipes. Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions. Rest rooms are identified by a raised figure with pants or skirt on door to designate men or women.
ELEVATOR: Wheelchair accessible elevator with sound indicator at back entrance of hotel. Serves all levels. Buttons in braille, recessed.
ACCOMMODATIONS: 4 wheelchair accessible rooms, on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors, each with king- size bed, cot available. Unnecessary furniture removed upon request. 60 inch circular clearspace in room and in bath. Bathroom door is 34 in. wide, with sill. Wheelchair accessible toilet is 19 inches high with room for a lateral transfer. Grab bar in tub. Roll-in showers. Hand held shower heads. Sink 34 in. high. Wrapped pipes. Handrail with toilet. Room numbers with braille and raised markings. Large digit display alarm clocks. Smoke alarm with flashing light. Room light flashes when phone rings. Door knock light. Vibrating alarm clock. Lever handles on doors. Closet rods wheelchair height. Lowered peep holes and thermostats. Extended drapery rod pulls.
BREAKFAST AREA: 4 tables for guests in wheelchairs, in breakfast dining room. Table 29 in. high, aisle width between tables is 46 in.
SAFETY PROCEDURES: Wheelchair guests assigned to first floor rooms. Front desk personnel made aware of guests with disabilities, and their type, in case of emergency.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: V, MC, AE, DS, DC and CB. Cable TV w/ 1 free HBO Channel, children up to 18 stay free. 3rd & 4th guests stay in each room free, pool (outdoor), jacuzzi(outdoor), dry-cleaning service, complimentary continental breakfast and exercise room. Check-in 3PM, check-out 11AM. No pets. Some rooms have refrigerators and microwaves. Historic mansion rooms, irons/ironing board in each room, in-room coffee service and carriage rides of Historic Lexington.
