I-81, exit 298, south of U.S. 11 about 2 miles, just before the traffic light at 55 E and 11 S, next to the Strasburg Emporium.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Impressive display of presidential portraits, signatures, artifacts and memorabilia from a 60-year collection.  James Madison’s desk, children’s hands-on room.

PARKING:  Unmarked spaces located in front.

TYPES OF PATHS TO OR AROUND ATTRACTION:  Concrete.  Paths  accessible to persons with mobility disabilities.

ENTRANCE:  Located at sidewalk.  1 exterior step, 6 in.  1 entry door, 35 in. wide, easily opens in with knob handle located 35 in. above floor.

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:  Located at rear of exhibit area.   Accessible restroom with handrails.  19 in. toilet seat height, 14 in. between commode and wall.  Sink height 29 in.  Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.  Unisex or companion assisted rest room available.

GIFT SHOP:  Book shelves only.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Hours:  10-5 Mon-Sat, 12-5 Sun, closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter and winter storms.  Admission fee.

Located on U.S. Rt. 11, 1 mile south of exit 298, I-81; near the intersection of I-81 and I-66.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Interpretive Center covering Stonewall Jackson’s Spring 1862 “Valley Campaign”.  Hands on exhibits/activities, children’s room, map table of Battle of Cedar Creek.

PARKING:  5 designated accessible parking spaces.  Located directly in front of museum.  Parking space 10 ft. wide.

TYPES OF PATHS TO OR AROUND ATTRACTION:  Paved and brick.  Paths accessible to persons with mobility disabilities.  Length of paths 20 yards.

ENTRANCE:  Located front center of building.

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:  Located in museum.  Doors 48 in. wide, open in.  No turns to enter.  Accessible stalls.  Sink height 36 in.  Wrapped pipes.  Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.

SPECIAL SERVICES:
For guests with hearing disabilities, written scripts are available.
For guests with visual disabilities, hands-on exhibits such as childrens’ room contains uniforms, toys, games from mid 19th century,  and signs in large print, with contrasting background, printed on a non-glossy surface. 

GIFT SHOP:  Aisles 72 in. wide.  Counters 36 in. high.  Aisles clear of temporary displays.
