Rte7 (Market St. in Leesburg) to Loudoun St. thru red light - make immediate right into a parking garage on the corner of Loudoun and Wirt Streets.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Museum includes log cabin, stone wall enclosed boxwood garden, historic exhibits, and 15 minute video on Loudoun County history from 1757 to present.
PARKING: 8 designated accessible parking spaces located in parking garage, plus street parking.
TYPES OF PATHS TO OR AROUND ATTRACTION: Brick sidewalk with curb cut. Paths accessible to persons with mobility disabilities. 30 ft. from parking garage.
ENTRANCE: Located Loudoun and Wirt Streets. 1 exterior step, 2 in. high. 2 entry doors, 38 in. wide, open out with porcelain knob located 40 in. above floor. 3 steps inside lobby, to interior rooms. Each step 5 in. high and marked with tactile strip/color change. Handrails on right. Also side entrance, 32 in. wide with ramp and 5 in. step.
PUBLIC REST ROOMS: 1 bathroom, 1 commode. Door 29 in. wide, opens in. Turns to enter. Handrails. 19 in. toilet seat height, 10 in. between commode and wall. Sink height 34 in.

PARKING: 2 wheelchair accessible parking spaces.
TYPES OF PATHS: 900 ft. gravel path with steep grades requiring assistance for persons in wheelchairs. Goes from parking to mansion.
ENTRANCE: Guests in wheelchairs admitted through a back door; however, this entrance is only 27 in. wide. Only the 1st floor is wheelchair accessible. 4 exterior steps, each 8 in. in height. Entry doors, 27 in. wide, open in with swivel antique handle located 24 in. above floor. 1 in. step in the great hall. 2 interior stairways with handrails.
PUBLIC REST ROOMS: Located in carriage house. Doors are 29 in. wide, and open in. Turns to enter. Accessible stalls have 33 in. doors opening out, and handrails. 19 in. toilet seat height, 15 in. between commode and wall. Sink height 38 in. Pipes wrapped. Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions. 1 accessible bathroom at main parking area with ramp, but has small incline to access ramp.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: A unique educational facility of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History, designed especially for students, collectors, teachers, artists and others who have a serious interest in natural history.
PARKING: 4 designated accessible parking spaces, located directly in front, approximately 50 ft. from the front door. Accessible parking space 9 ft. wide. Accessible aisle 3 ft. wide. Nearby ramps well marked.

PUBLIC REST ROOMS: One to left of entrance and one in main room. Available without steps. Doors 36 in. wide, open in. Turns to enter. PUBLIC REST ROOMS: Carriage house and shop. Doors are 35 in. wide, open in. Turns to enter. Accessible stalls have 34 in. wide doors opening out, and handrails. 11 in. between commode and wall. Sink height 32 in.
