DIRECTIONS: West of Ashland take 54 approximately 12 miles. Where Rt. 54 merges with Rt. 33.  1 1/2 miles on the left.  From I-295 take Rt. 33 North to Rt. 54/ Rt. 33 intersection. Left on to Rt. 33. 1 1/2 miles on left.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  The Montpelier Center for the Arts & Education is located in historic Montpelier just 30 minutes from downtown Richmond.  The Center is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the community through educational opportunities and promoting the arts and creative expression.

PARKING:  4 designated accessible free parking spaces, located behind and beside building.  Accessible parking space 9 ft. wide.  Nearby ramps well marked.  RV parking.

ENTRANCE: 2 southern entrances on Sycamore Tavern Lane.  

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:  At both entrances to building.  Available without steps.  Doors open out.  Turns to enter.  Wheelchair accessible stalls have 34 in. wide doors opening out, and handrails.  19 in. toilet seat height, 35 in. between commode and wall.  Sink height 31 in.  Wrapped pipes.  Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.  Unisex or companion assisted rest rooms available.  Rest rooms identified by raised figures with pants or skirt on the door to designate men or women.

SPECIAL SERVICES:
For guests with hearing impairments:  Signing interpreters available with advance notice.

For guests with visual impairments:  Increased wattage lighting in dining areas.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE FACILITIES:  Catered events only,in ballroom.  Table height 30 in.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Gallery/Building Hours : Mon -Thurs: 9 to 9, Fri: 10 to 6, Sat: 10 to 2. Closed Sun.
