FACILITIES: Main lobby, ballroom, dining room, lounge are wheelchair accessible; Pavilion has wheelchair accessible entry at front. Pavilion is wheelchair accessible. Eight steps to Inn pool; Sports Club pool is accessible by outside ramp. Luggage handling available. Fifteen rooms plus 1 suite are designated as smoking rooms. Signage is printed in contrasting colors with raised and recessed lettering. Assistive Listening System available. There is increased wattage lighting in meeting areas.
PUBLIC REST ROOMS: Main building, Ednam conference room, Pavilion meeting facilities, Birdwood Golf Course and Boar’s Head Sports Club. Doors are 36 in. wide, and open in and out. Turns to enter. Accessible stalls have doors opening in and out, and handrails. 19 in. toilet seat height. Pipes are wrapped. Rest rooms are identified by a raised figure with pants or skirt on door to designate men or women. Unisex and/or companion assisted rest room available at the public rest room.
ELEVATOR: Located main Inn, Ednam and Boar’s Head Sports Club. Wheelchair accessible elevator serves all levels. Interior of car is 53 in. by 51 in.
ACCOMMODATIONS: 2 wheelchair accessible rooms, one King room (Rm 206) and one with 1 double bed (Rm 1222) on a frame with no obstruction beneath. Unneeded furniture removed on request. 60 in. circular clear space in room and bathroom. Sill at bathroom door 1/2 in. high. Bathroom door is 36 in. wide. Wheelchair accessible toilet is 19 inches high with room for lateral transfer. Grab bar in tub. Hand held shower heads. Roll-in shower. Sink pipes wrapped. Handrail with toilet. RESTAURANT: All tables for guests in wheelchairs. Menus are available on non-glossy surface.
SAFETY PROCEDURES: Guests in wheelchairs routinely assigned to first floor rooms upon request. Front desk personnel made aware of guests with disabilities and their type, in case of emergency.
