DIRECTIONS: Near the intersection of Routes 33 and 20 in Barboursville Virginia.  Follow the signs.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: A magnificent and historic Virginia estate between Monticello and Montpelier, home to Virginia's most honored winery, founded in 1976 by a family prominent in Italian viticulture since 1821. Producer of Octagon, the most renowned red wine of Virginia.

PARKING:  2 designated accessible parking spaces, located in front of the building.  Accessible parking space 20 ft. wide.  Nearby ramps well marked.  RV parking.

TYPES OF PATHS TO OR AROUND ATTRACTION: Concrete or asphalt.  Paths accessible to persons with mobility disabilities.

ENTRANCE:  Located front of building. No steps to enter building. Doors easily opened in and out.  4 entry doors, 33 in. wide, with handle located 36 in. above floor.  Glass doors have handles clearly marked in contrasting color.   1 step inside the facility, located between octagon cellar and museum room.   Step 5.5 in. high and marked with tactile strip/color change.  Handrails on left/right.

PUBLIC REST ROOMS:   Located in the tasting room .  Available without steps. Doors 33 in. wide, open in/out.  No turns to enter.  Wheelchair accessible stalls: 34 in. wide doors opening in and handrails.  Toilet seat height less than 19 in. high, 11 in. between commode and wall.  Sink height 32.5 in.  Wrapped pipes.  Accessible stall checked regularly for obstructions.  Unisex or companion assisted rest rooms available.  Rest rooms identified by raised figures with pants or skirt on the door to designate men or women.

SPECIAL SERVICES:
For guests with visual disabilities: Signs in large print, with contrasting background, printed on a non-glossy surface.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE FACILITIES: Picnic items in tasting room and formal dining in Palladio Restaurant. Table height 30 in.  Aisles between tables 48 in. wide. Menus are printed on nonglossy surface.

GIFT SHOP:  Aisles 60 in. wide.  Counters 42,5 in. high. Aisles clear of temporary displays.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Accepted credit cards: V  MC  AE .
Tasting Room Hours of operation: Monday-Thursday 10-5, Friday and Saturday 10-6, Sunday 11-5. Free winery tours on weekends. Tasting Fee $4 per person includes and souvenir wine glass.

Palladio Restaurant Hours of Operation: Wednesday-Sunday Lunch Noon-2:30, Friday and Saturday Dinner 6:30-9:30.
